
Our Story
In 2001, Coach Osman, a 1992 Barcelona Olympian for Honduras, founded Nashville Weightlifting Club, bringing Olympic Weightlifting to Nashville, TN. With over 46 years of experience and numerous national and international titles, including multiple Hall of Fame inductions, Coach Osman has built the club into a nationally recognized training center. Serving the Middle TN community since 2009, the club provides high-level training to Olympic weightlifting athletes, coaches, and athletes from other sports.

Coach Osman has over 46 years of experience in the sport of Olympic Weightlifting, both as a coach and an athlete. As an athlete, Coach Osman represented his home country of Honduras in the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain. While in Honduras, he was a Central American Champion and Record Holder. He moved to the United States in 1993 after the Olympics. Since then, he has represented the USA as a National and International Competitor. Some of his achievements include:

Inducted in USA Masters Weightlifting Hall of Fame, Pan American Masters Weightlifting Hall of Fame, Tennessee Power and Strength Hall of Fame
Under the guidance of Coach Osman, Nashville Weightlifting Club has been recognized nationwide for creating athletes of all levels with local, state, national and international levels.
